Only one this time

Only one of my boys went this year. The other decided he didn't want to go this year even after trying to convince him (bad case of 'been there, done that' additude and getting closer to becoming a teenager. Aaargh!) and he missed out on all the adventures! I think he may have learned something.

It appears you and your boys had a great time at the festival! I was disappointed I couldn't make it this year.

Sears Farm

Sears Farm is no longer operational, and is being developed into a senior community called SearStone. You do need to contact the Information Centre about coming on to the property to paint/photograph and you will need to sign a release form (just in case someone trips, falls, etc., on the property). Feel free to call Debbie DeRosa at 466-9366.

Is this farm still operational and do photographers/painters need to seek permission to come on the property?

Nicely done

Clean 3200 is really amazing in the context of the past 5 (or 50) years. Nice toning effect, although slighty blue-ish on my monitor (laptop, uncalibrated) for my taste. A very nice image, and I'll be at Artspace for First Friday if it ain't too hot...

What camera do you have? Feel free to pm me if you'd like.

Perhaps some of us that post photos on here can get together some time.

camera

It seems that whenever I set the ISO higher, my pictures come out blurry, even if I have the camera on a tripod. I've almost given up taking pictures at dusk because they don't turn out clear. Any suggestions?

raw

Marilyn, you have some great photos! Keep on shooting and experimenting.

One of the nice things about raw is it gives you more flexibility with post processing. For example, you can change the white balance (I keep it set to "auto" on the camera while shooting). Probably the biggest thing in this photo was setting the ISO higher and opening up the aperature to f/4.

Thanks for the tips. I've been afraid to use "raw" but may try it now. I also have to remember to set the white balance and the iso sensitivity. You're alot more advanced than I'll probably ever be! Marilyn
