In order to survive wall to wall rain, 24/7, 365 days a year, Scots have to have a wit or sense of humour about them!
By the way,when I lived in Oxford,England,there was a well known landmark/eyesore in my neighbourhood which was the topic of many conversations,debates,newscasts etc-it was a 25ft shark protuding from the roof of a terraced (row) house!!!

I took this from my car as i was driving through Glasgow! It is a display on the side of what we call a multistorey car park (parking deck). I thought it was quite amusing.Parking is a nightmare in Glasgow so this is a suggestion for when all the spaces are taken!

I must admit,as a traditionalist,I was initially horrified by the graffiti covering Kelburn Castle.But it has grown on me and I actually quite like it now! I am pleased to say it is only a temporary fix until sufficient funds are available to restore it to it's former glorious whiteish grey facade,but it has certainly brightened up the glen and created an interesting talking point/focus.

I believe the graffiti was created by Brazilian artist.

Murals and wall art have become quite a feature of Kelburn Country Park and appear in the Secret Forest,the children's indoor playroom and the rear wall of the museum.

Back in the early days of photography, inperfections in camera optics often resulted in small, circular areas of focus on the image plate.

You have a really neat confluence of several factors here -- shallowness of the depth-of-field, circular framing by the grass, the subject choice itself -- that would make this photograph look like it was taken 150 years ago if you printed it in sepia tones.

I'm not sure either! I just liked how they looked. Unfortunately when they were close together the brown one did what cows do best so I had to wait ,and by then the grey one and the white one had moved! Oh well-it makes for an interesting conversation piece!

It's pleasantly surprising to me that someone would do this to a Scotish castle, even if only temporarily. Looka like someone got to express their fanciful side in a big way.

Thank you for your comment.I will definitly follow your advice and frame this one! I am not sure what it is about it that gives the painting affect-it could be the light or the grasses,but I just love the sheep's expression!

Very nice! This photo would make a very attractive matted and framed picture. It almost looks like a painting. Great shot.
