We need people to tell law enforcement when they know something so we can get these animals off the streets. That kid in Chicago was beaten to death and it is on video and yet no one has been arrested. This makes no sense!

Just curious, has any research been done to find out whether there are any phreatoicids present in the groundwater below North Carolina's wetland habitats? If not, perhaps mapping out groundwater quality from below wetlands throughout the state may give clues as to where the best places to look for these may be - might make a good research project to embark upon as these could possibly be introduced into some areas as a natural means of water purification too. Although, if none are discovered here in North Carolina's groundwater perhaps some of these phreatoicids could be imported from the area around Christchurch, New Zealand? Just an idea that came to mind after reading this.

By the way, there have been a number of different species discovered or might I say rediscovered thus far at the South Island of New Zealand, many of which could prove to be quite beneficial as a natural means of water purification, not only in groundwater but in other water reservoirs as well so long as there are no strong currents present. Googling "phreatoicids" will bring up a good list of websites for those never having heard of phreatoicids. In my opinion they do appear to be quite promising although I must admit not without extensive research first to determine what if any impact other than positive these phreatoicids could have upon the environment here in North Carolina. One negative possibility could be that if phreatoicids were to be introduced into the environment here in North Carolina, they might work so effienciently in cleaning up water supplies that native shellfish may be robbed of their food supplies, but as of now this possibility is unknown. Perhaps a thorough review of all the different species of shellfish present and coexisting in waters containing phreatoicids should be studied at the South Island of New Zealand first, and if other species of more modern types of shellfish are found to coexist with phreatoicids then an advanced research project could be done in an isolated environment to determine any impacts upon shellfish species native to North Carolina. Just the beginnings of an idea...

I checked this place out last Saturday evening (08/29/09) and was pleasantly surprised. Good table service, cold beer (although they were out of my first choice) and quick food delivery as well. I had the sheppard's pie, which was thick and rich and very good. It could have been a little bit hotter and I would have preferred more seasoning, but I had been traveling that day so maybe the airport food killed my tastebuds. The onion rings were excellent and obviously made from scratch (as was the pie) unlike most places that just take it from the freezer to the oil. The restaurant was busy but not crowded, and I look forward to returning soon.

Cary needs more independent restaurants like this. We cannot live on Applebee's and Outback!

First and foremost, if you do not know what you are talking about please do not comment. If there are any questions or concerns that you may have about the truth of Bishop Heggie and his relationship with his children the public records can be found in Guilford County, which will show that he has paid $50 a month in child support for the past four years plus $24 towards the thousands he has in arrears. How is that a good father? To note that all parties are involved in his children's life...check that fact too, it has been since December 31, 2005 when Garland failed to return the kids since he has been a regular part of his life. Good if the Heggies are involved in the lives of your child...they rarely call thier oldest grandchildren, and that's only Mr. Heggie who calls to check on them. For you and anyone else who questions the truth because of the lies you are being told you are welcome to come to Guilford County Court on September 1, 2009, when we go before the judge with the attempts of getting his child support increased...Also, check your facts...there are public records in Alamance county which will show that Bishop Heggie has been arrested for not paying his obligation many times...it will show you that the only support received from him before his dramatic decrease was in the form of bonds when his freedom was jeopardized...However, he has been consistent with paying his monthly obligation of $50, which equates to less than 75 cents per child per day...You do not know both sides because I am not in that mix...you are tired and so am I...the truth is in the court houses, if you want the case number so you can check it I can provide that as well. Its true that people see what they want to see...my question to you is when was the last time you saw my daughter? She has never been fond of her dad. I do not coach my children to hate anyone...I tell them to love people inspite of what they do. Children see and they learn from example. I have taken care of my children since day one and will continue to do so. I do not have to tell them anything about Bishop Heggie, he has lied to them and hurt them enough over the years as to where they see him for who he is...Trust me I envy no one! We are better than blessed and walking in the light...Do not judge me because you do not know me or the truth.

Victims
Based on 2004 supplemental homicide data (where the age, sex, or race of the murder victims were known), 90.2 percent of murder victims were adults and 9.8 percent of the victims were juveniles. Of the total number of homicide victims, 78.0 percent were male and 22.0 percent were female. Where the races of the victims were known, 49.8 percent of the victims were white, 47.6 percent were black, and 2.6 percent were American Indian/Alaskan Native or Asian/Pacific Islander. (Based on Table 2.4.)

Offenders
The data for 2004 concerning the murders for which the offenders were known showed that 91.7 percent of the offenders were adults and 8.3 percent were juveniles. A breakdown of the data by gender showed that 90.1 percent of the offenders were male and 9.9 percent were female. In homicides where the race of the offender was known, 50.0 percent were black, 47.6 percent were white, and 2.4 percent were other races. (Based on Table 2.5.) Data from single victim/single offender incidents showed that 92.2 percent of black victims were murdered by black offenders, and 84.8 percent of white victims were murdered by white offenders. (Based on Table 2.7.)

Thanks for the updates. I got one of those letters from Saint Matthew’s Churches of Tulsa, Oklahoma last month but did not respond simply because their graven image they wanted to send was in clear violation of the 2nd commandment and also God is not a wealth god either. It seems these unscrupulous folks try to work on people's fears and needs by also sending along a 'sealed prophesy' with the letter as well - not to be opened until after you've sent your reply. I opened it anyway and found it to be quite lame in my opinion because I already had the spiritual gifts they said I would be given. Enough said.
