Sharpe's Music Store

Long time no see. Welcome back! (You have been sorely missed around this place!) Just checked out the Sharpe's Music Store site again after having not seen it in a while. Nice upgrade and web design! Looks like things are coming along quite well at the store with the stage being built behind it too. As for Fb, twitter, and all the rest its more of a time issue than anything else (and keeping life as simple as possible too). Someday I may have to make another trek down to Reno's again as its been a while since the last time I have enjoyed some bluegrass or gospel jams. Great to see you back here again!

I haven't been on Share in quite a long time. Just checking if I might have any messages. This photo and some others are posted on Sharpes Store Music fan page- Facebook (oops I forgot your not on Fb... you should sign-up and post some pics). They're also posted on http://www.sharpestoremusic.org/AboutUs.php (I think that's right)

Building identified

Apparently this old building was once a Mattress and Broom Shop that was constructed during late 1890's. I found a picture of the whole building with some more info towards the bottom of the page at this website:

Multiple Property Types Documentation

Click on A. Educational Buildings in the index at the top of the page to get there and then you can click on the picture to see an enlargement.

By the way, if you are interested in Raleigh's architecture and historic sites in general, just poking around on the website as a whole can keep one happily occupied for quite some time as there is a lot of information to be found here.

Most unique shot! Looks like something one might expect (or might not expect) seeing on a newly formed foreign planet orbiting a dim dwarf star buried deep within the dusty lanes of a galaxy far, far away!

Definitely a cool shot!

Nice image. Seems like it should be hanging in a music school. I like how you've filled the frame, but also direct the viewer to focus on where the strings meet the bridge. The bluish light on the strings gives an unexpectedly cool feeling.

Another interesting thing about young Holstein heifers other than their unique markings are their personalities. Yes, they do possess unique personalities indeed as the one photographed above. She definitely wanted to be the star of this show as she would not let any of the other heifers get between her and my camera.

Ah, young heifers - gotta love them!

The Neuse

Great capture! You sure picked a wonderful location for capturing a shot of all this recent snow. I was looking for a good location that morning myself but it never crossed my mind to get a shot from a bridge spanning a river such as the Neuse. The best I could come up with was a shot zoomed through the branches of several trees, one behind the other, but the photo looked a bit too overly abstract at first glance and did not have the element of depth as yours does.
