Our April LPF meeting

Our April LPF meeting is next Thursday, April 24th. We will meet at 6:30 at Neomonde's for dinner and our meeting. We are going to look at the message on immigration that the ELCA approved in 1998. Please go to the ELCA website to find the message. It is under the section on Social Statements. We also will look at the article in the March Lutheran "Addressing Undocumented Immigration." We should have an interesting discussion. Please join us.

There is no green tree for me with the initial event when I try to add one. There is a file attachment at the bottom but it would not take .pdf so I gave it a jpeg which it loaded and then... I have the green tree now for the comment though. I'm not crazy about your red hat. It does not seem quite right. Thanks again.

December meeting

I just tried to add the December meeting to our calendar. Got sidetracked somehow and I believe it is on the general community calendar (Religion) but not on our group calendar.

Bahama Christmas Parade

For those who did'nt make the parade I must say you missed a good ride with a slight drizzle and a nip in the air. But what the heck, the Christmas spirit was alive and well in Bahama. Antique cars, hillbilly hot rods, motorcycles, and the origanal horsepower(horses) lined the parade route along with fire trucks, and a little league base ball taem. Kids as well as adults smiled and yelled Merry Christmas! as the parade passed by to their delight. There were mounds of candy that lined our path down the route while the children scrambled to get the most in there bags and pockets. At the end of the parade we all ended up at the Ruitan where we shuttled in a line like a bunch of pinguines for a cup of hot chocolate and a donut. For those that missed it, maybe next year. We might even have some pretty weather. But like I said "What the heck" We the Durham (HOG) didn't let life pass us by today. To everyone from Pam and I "Merry Christmas"
