I consistently find that

I consistently find that Lindsey's reviews are subpar, and the latest Harry Potter movie was no deviation from that line. Whenever I read a Lindsey review, my impression is that the N&O has hired a 13-year-old boy. Complaints that there is not enough action relative to the Transformers movie, for example, are really not particularly relevant--HP books, while fast-moving, are not really "action" novels, so to expect the movie translation to amp up the explosions and violence to the level of a movie like Transformers is ludicrous. I don't even LIKE the Harry Potter movies and I thought the review was unfair and completely missing the point.

We welcome reader reviews

We welcome reader reviews about current movies. Post your short reviews on share.triangle.com, and we may run them in the What's Up section in our "Your Take" feature.

On Friday, look in What's Up for reader Cameron M. Tranbarger's take on "Transformers."

With your short reviews, tell what you like or dislike about the movies themselves, not just a critique of Craig D. Lindsey.

Thanks.

Harry Potter and Order of the Phoenix

Has a discussion of the latest Harry Potter movie been started? I was very disappointed with the review by Craig D. Lindsey. He just doesn't seem to understand the series as a whole or the point of the overall story. I did not like his dismissive attitude about Harry's anger or sarcastic remarks about the movies. I don't want a fawning movie review, but something more balanced and with less negative attitude would be welcome. I find most of his movie reviews irritating at best. Perhaps the N&O could get some others to review movies? Even some interviews with those leaving a first screening would be more interesting and informative than what has lately been the case.
