Elvis has the facts to prove it. Never again will a star have almost a million people tour his home each and every year, 32 years after his death. Nothing will ever come close. This is 2nd only to the whitehouse..

Elvis had 21 number 1's in the UK, Michael had 14. Almost a million people visit Graceland each year, 2nd only to the whitehouse. This is 32 years after Elvis death, and it continues. Are you crazy dee dee; that will never happen again for any other star ever.... Nothing even close...

Come On Now.... Michael of Course

Don't get me wrong Elvis was a great entertainer, BUT Michael Jackson was GREATER and will ALWAYS be GREATER. Elvis was mainly big in the US with White America), but Michael Jackson was HUGE across the GLOBE (loved my ALL RACES..)..... What entertainer do we know could make a women, man, or child faint by just touching their hand.... Michael WAS/WILL ALWAYS be the GREATEST ENTERTAINER IN THE WORLD... (there will NEVER) be another MICHAEL JOSEPH JACKSON....

I agree with your post. Only correction is Elvis was inducted into four Halls of Fame Rock n Roll Gospel County Rockabilly **Not to mention 32 years after his DEATH, they still have "Elvis Week" and it is a grand celebration of the man and his music.... Long live the Artist of the Century!! Elvis Presley

Elvis and The Beatles at the Pinnacle

Elvis started it all...before Elvis there was almost nothing...oh sure you had the Big Bands...but Elvis brought rock n roll to the masses...absolute hysteria was the result...I'm the whole country absolutely freaked out!!!! Young old, black white, rich poor...it didn't matter. There was areason elvis' second ed Sullivan appearance was the Number 1 rated TV show until MASH finale knocked it off the top spot. The social impact of Elvis massive.

In fact it was so massive..."the establishment" tried to put a cork in it...in the early 60's there wasn't much rock on the radio or TV...they "Pat Boone'd"...mainly because Elvis mania was so scary to them...

Then the Beatles came..they seemed nice enough...white enough...sure there hair was a little long...but they just wanted to hold your daughters hand....but "the establishment" underestimated The Beatles. They were brilliant. They took..literally....a black and white world and turned it Technicolor...and psychedlisized society...tthey turned a Pat Boone world into Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll! The social AND POLITCAL importance ofthe Beatles cannot be underestimated. There is a reason historians today call that late 60's period a "Cultural Revolution!" Because it was...

MJ was great....he ranks right up there with the greatest entertainers ever. he just did not have the impact that either Elvis or The Beatles had....Elvis and the Beatles are the Pinnacle.

MJ ranks right up there with the next teir....

The level includes the following.... Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, James Brown, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Elton John....and that's about it...

Look Michael Jackson fans...those people mentioned above are not bad company...In fact being mentioned with those greats is an honor.

If you don't believe me...you need to study history a little harder.

In reality, Michael was

In reality, Michael was bigger in the music domain

Perhaps he had time & chance on his
side ..he toured and TV had become
more global & prominent in his time
...but he did have an undeniable stage charisma

If you go outside the Western hemisphere not many
know the Beatles or Elvis..but across continents
and countries you'd hear about Michael.

Madonna may come a somewhat near second but she had
such a racy sound that may have disconnected
some parts..there was just something about Michael
maybe it was his humanity, clean sound, fully cloth
image and maybe just maybe TALENT...He got to the top
of the rung in his art..Princess Diana was another
favorite (only that she wasn't musical)...this people had the ability to connect across nations..he just cut across
or maybe it was just time and chance..and then there's Oprah (but she isn't musical either)...time will tell if Beyonce will exceed Michael though I doubt it..Michael had a world theme, he cut through genres, wheter u liked Rock or R&B or Jazz or Country or Folk..u'd tap to Michael's beat...Now there's so much variety, artists spring up everyday.. I dunno if he'll be exceeded musically in terms of cutting across so many and so widely..

Elvis

Elvis hands down. If technology was as advanced during Elvis' time as it was in MJ's time, Elvis would have at least double the numbers. No to mention that some people still think he is alive.

As for all the ignorant

As for all the ignorant racist comments I have the pity to see here,my boyfriend is black and he agrees Elvis is the King.He has actually listene to his music and knows from that. Most of you are just repeating nonsense you have been told by others. The Sweet Inspirations sang for many years with Elvis and he was raised in a mixed neighborhood. He was never racist.Rather those who were jealous of his success.Eddie Murphy is a huge Elvis fan,so was James Brown and many other black entertainers.Stop hating.Michael Jackson was ridiculed by his own people as an"old white woman"and it is so digusting now to see so many of those who made fun of him no trying to jump on his and wagon. He was a troubled person who had some bad habits that his money bought him out of.You do NOT pay $25 million to someone to drop a criminal case if you are innocent. There will be so much truth that has been hidden about Jackson that will be coming out,it will be pitiful. His hidden troubles(not the pill addiction, either) will overshadow anyhing he has ever accomplished.Wait and see.He was a complete nutcase and perv.

Michael Jackson died at 50. Elvis Presley died at 42. They both died before they should have. Both men did more for music and culture than most musicians will ever do. They are both truly legends.

The question is, though, who is the bigger star?
