Hi!

The 0bama lipstick remark was directed directly at Gov. Palin. He knew full well what he intended. He revealed a major character flaw in doing it. Do the Math: 0bama+0media= 0. 0bama is a media puppet.

Lip Stick Comment

The comment by Brack Obama was MEANT to be a slam on Sarah Palin. Really, you ask? Yes, and the reason you can tell that it was meant to be a slam is to watch his body language. The tongue may lie but the body language will give someone away every time. When Obama slammed Hillary Clinton, saying that she was a "honorable opponent", he put his hand to his head and touch his head with his finger. Meaning, I'm saying one thing and meaning another. Obama did the exact same thing while making the "Lip Stick" comment. His audience certainly did not have a hard time deciding what he meant. They all laughed.

I though Gov. Palin told Sen. Clinton not to whine when playing

with the boys, it does not help women politicians

To be honest, who says that Obama was even thinking about Gov. Palin, she is truthfully no threat. But the fear that surrounds the great "innovative" American people is incredible.

The pubs are trying to counteract the line they have to tip-toe on race (which they are not really dancing around), by creating a sexism line.

The pubs are getting ready to pull the wool over the eyes of the people with two "made for conservative media" candidates that have an interest of a select few (who think they own the country), while the rest of us wither away.

Vote how you like, but don't complain when we invade Iran and Russia and consequently pay $10 a gallon for gas. -- "Country First!!.....citizens last."

Of course he (Obama) was referring to Palin. Only a fool would think otherwise. Wake up...It's politics!

Lipstick???? This is crazy.

How can you honestly come to the conclusion that an entire audience believed Obama was talking about Palin?!!! You can hear it in their laughter?? Please!!! Is this what this election has come to? Lipstick? Judging what an audience is thinking by their laughter?!! Taking a old phrase and pulling it wayyyyyyyy out of context. I heard people laughing in the audience each time McCain used the term as well. I am not about to take my time to wonder beyond that what the audience was laughing at.

How about what is going to happen to our economy, healthcare, education issues, gas prices, 2 wars being fought, and the list goes on and on? What about those things. People please let's stop being fooled by these outrageous ploys to be distracted from the real issues. Let's get back on point and leave the foolishness to those who want to "PLAY" politics.

Lipstick on Pig

Thirteen days ago on the Democratic National Committee website there was a blog posted by a blogger named Elizabeth Berry. It referred to Sarah Palin and had a picture of a pig with lipstick and glasses. If that did not rub off on Obama I would be surprised. It was taken down but is still on several websites.

Whether I am a political being or apolitical, the choice of Palin on the Repbublican ticket has caused a fervor and was meant to do so. Palin is not prepared to take on the task of vice president of America. If she was, she would not deliver speeches as though she was campaigning for further liberation of the female gender. My gosh, she hasn't even taken into consideration the trauma she has created for her family throwing them into the limelight of political partying. No, this was a mistake. Lipstick can be placed on anyone, male or female, but what is uttered from the lips of the one joked about tells the tale of woe for the security of the U. S. if McCain is elected and dies suddenly. I've listened to her. She's boisterous and not a soul of conviction beyond pushing the female button of meism. Me? If it matters, I'm a female.

This is a false controversy created by the McCain camp to keep people from talking about unemployment, the war in Iraq, the effect of sending $10 billion a month to Iraq, the bankrupt highway fund, the resurgence of the Taliban in Iraq, health care, domestic spying, global warming, a comprehensive energy plan, etc..

Rick Davis, McCain's campaign manager has openly said this campaign is no longer about the issues. Now they'll do anything to do to keep you from talking about the issues.

I don't think O'bama's lipstick on a pig comment bothers Palin in hte least. She seems capable of taking the insult which was a direct insult to her. We all know that you are a shallow person to resort to slinging personal insults when you are in a race based on issues.

O'bama has further shown what little substance he has. Never dive head first into a shallow pool... no matter how pretty it is on the surface. In this metaphor O'bama is the shallow pool... just in case you didn't get it!!

Why didn't the Dems make an

Why didn't the Dems make an issue of it when McCain made the same pigs in lipstick comment while talking about Hillary Clinton? Why does the GOP embrace a double standard of what constitutes experience, family values incl fooling around, who should answer the questions from the American public and whether an all-time high budget deficit needs to be addressed?

Why should the American people let themselves be diverted from the real problems and answers? The bottom line is the Republicans give tax breaks to corporations and the wealthy while the Democrats raise the minimum wage and work towards better health care and education for everybody. The GOP will say anything to avoid the relevant facts.

Either this was a calculated personal attack by Obama or he's not quite as brilliant as Oprah and her liberal friends in the media and Hollywood think he is! Yes John McCain said it before! Yes other Republicans have said it before! But Obama did it less than 1 WEEK after the word "lipstick" was made famous by Sarah Palin in her vice presidential acceptance speech in front of over 30 MILLION viewers. Mere coincidence! I don't think so!

Hypocricy and, perhaps, some irony...?

I find it relieving that many of the comments here are a reflection of North Carolinians having their heads screwed on STRAIGHT! We are not fooled by this silliness.

What bothers me, though, are the Obama detractors saying he should stick to issues when really that is all he has stuck to. You won't see him fighting fire with fire because he does not want to fall into the same old game. He wants to take the high road and talk about ISSUES instead of personal barbs. I have yet to hear McCain make a single good case for his presidency helping this country with any of the ISSUES we are facing. Obama may not be able to deliver, but I feel he truly desires to - and that very feeling is what will land him MY vote (for what it's worth). McCain, I feel, is playing the game as nastily as possible for no other reason than to win. I would have voted McCain 8 years ago when he still had the guts and will to swim against the current of his platform. To me, he is showing his weakness by choosing a woman like Palin for no other reason than to WIN. He cannot honestly believe that she is right for the greater good of this Great Nation.

Obama/Biden '08!

She is a pig, in any case

I think Obama was referring to McCain's idiocy when it comes to economics, however, if folks took it as his calling Palin a pig, that is just fine by me as the woman is clearly a pig. It needs to be made clear that she supports some very low down, dirty, dangerous and cruel political positions, as do all repuglicans I have heard.

Most republican positions are abusive positions, and I agree with some recent commentary on how often it seems many of these nasty behaving republicans love to dish out the abuse, but when someone calls them on it, they go nuts and start screaming the equivalent of 'Mommy! Daddy! Someone called me a bad name! Whaaa, whaaa, whaaa! Boo-hoo-hoo!' Talk about whiners! Obama is right in calling this phoney baloney. They're supposed to be the tough ones, according to them, right? So which one is it? A cry baby or a tough guy/gal?

I've got no problem whatsoever calling any one of these war mongering, abusive republicans PIGS!! Republicans are either one or the other or all of the following: dangerously ignorant folks, just plain downright greedy folks, psychopathic, delusional, deranged, insane, pathological, murderous in having supported/run illegal wars and in supporting the death penalty, criminal folks, and on and on-- the list is not a nice one, but it is accurate.

No one with a reasonable education and true understanding of what is actually going on in the world, a shred of conscience, a bit of respect for human life and all life on earth would ever vote for a republican. We are in a very serious point in world history right now-- the U.S. is becoming more and more hated throughout the world because of the awful, abusive wackos we have had 'leading' in political office, and we could well be on the verge of WWIII if more folks don't wake up and realize that there are many, many in the world, including dangerous folks in Russia and elsewhere, who are not going to continue to be harassed and coerced by American imbeciles who clearly do not understand the magnitude of the damage they are doing, to not only their own country, but throughout the world. International investors are rapidly losing interest in the U.S., investors all over are sick of being scammed by too many in what many are starting to think of as the United Scammers of A**-holy-ugh.

Some need to stop watching game shows, get their heads out of their bibles, stop worrying about hockey games, shooting some poor critter or another, or some other ridiculous hick past time and realize that the whole world is watching them and get serious about the many very, very serious issues we face. It is time to vote for the smartest one in the room and not the dumbest but prettiest!! JC! What in the world?!

This whole thing is completely absurd. People in public office should have to be qualified for their jobs. These jobs should have job descriptions and list of required qualifications. The highest level jobs which require foreign policy decision-making should be filled with folks who have Ph.D.'s, extensive experience in FOREIGN POLICY, not experience in being a 'hockey mom,' for crying out loud. Yeah, and someone with a background in grooming dogs, shooting Moose, gutting a fish, is qualified to be a brain surgeon-- didn't you know? These are the most important jobs in the country, world, and this should not be a joke. Someone being in charge of massive stockpiles of nuclear weapons, able to make decisions which could lead to major nuclear war and the annihilation of all life on the planet, should be qualified for their job!! What a joke. Please call the woman a PIG! Call her whatever it is going to take to keep End-times, bible literalist, totally ignorant, nuts jobs away from our nuclear weapons, away from our economic and foreign policies! JC!!
