Leno is funny; Conan is a dork

I tried to watch Conan last night. He is so twitchy and his delivery is poor, but actually his joke writers are good. Jay makes me laugh. I don't think Dave is a nice person so his humor hits me wrong. Have you noticed how awful the music is on all the talk shows? I would be happy to never again hear the Tonight show band play Proud Mary. I can't stand the dweeby bald guy on Lettermans's show. The drummer on Conan is not as tiring to me because I never stay up past 5 minutes of Conan's twitching.
I do NOT miss Johnny Carson though. Talk about a bad person. What a jerk!

Leno is a LA guy and Conan is East Coast, and neither is revelant in my world. I may 15 minutes a month of late night "talk shows" -- all these shows are just no longer funny any more, and that goes to Letterman as well. Sorry folks, give me 15 minutes a night with Charlie Rose, and that works for me.

I can't stand Conan, he's terrible interview and not funny. Leno is superior, too bad Conan is taking his

I'll take Leno any day of the week over Conan. I've watched his show to try to figure out what people see in him, and I'm sorry, I just don't get it. He's comes across every way but funny. It will be a sad day when Leno leaves the Tonight Show.

Conan isn't funny at all, he's stupid and some people find that entertaining. This will be another NBC landmark, and not a good one. Hoping Jay lands another gig at ABC in same time slot :)

Conan is not going to beat Letterman. Conan can barely hold his own against Craig Ferguson or Jimmy Kimmel.
I watch Jay first and then keep Conan on until I get fed up with him hopping around and saying what a great show that is store. He does it every night ad nauseum. Sometimes Conan is funny but for Jay it is an obsession.
Jay is not going to quit. He often mentions going on vacations, to Hawaii for example, but returns home early so he can "work." Work -- performing -- is not work for Jay, it is life.
If NBC moves him from the Tonight Show, he will certainly go where he can perform. I think ABC at 11:30 leading into Jimmy Kimmel would be a perfect package to compete with Conan on NBC and Letterman on CBS. The New pecking order will be Leno, Letterman and Conan a very distant third. Sorry, Conan. You just don't work hard enough to keep up the Carson/Leno tradition.

Why would anyone waste their time watching Conan O'Brien? Lets get a hot British babe like Sarah Hendy or Cat Deeley to host. Then if the guests are awful at least the guy won't care.

Jay was Carson's protege. I remember Johnny having Jay as a guest and thinking, "he would be good as Johnny's successor." I can't say the same for O'brien.

Jay -- warm but he rarely gets interesting or young guests, lately he looks bored while interviewing and apologetic of stupid monologue jokes and impatient with clueless Kevin

Dave -- puerile, relies on nightly Top 10, not fresh

Conan -- also immature, but at least he IS young(er) and witty, most knowledgeable of current events

Jimmy-- lukewarm but guests up-to-the-minute

Craig -- great guests but he's cringingly unfunny

Carson -- a misogynistic perv

Conan O'Brien will take over the "Tonight" show next June - and what happens to deposed host Jay Leno after that is anybody's guess.

Leno's last show will be Friday, May 29, and O'Brien will start the following Monday, June 1, NBC executives told a Television Critics Association meeting Monday.
