Jackson's comments and attitude make him appear to be a man in trouble. His pathetic, resentful wispered moanings seem to be those of a man who sees his self-appointed status as spokesman for black America threatened and withering. That's too bad. Before making the comments, former civil rights leader Jackson might have been wise to ask himself, "What would Martin have thought about this young man's philosophy and leadership and where he might take our country?" My guess is that that Dr. King would have thought he was seeing a dream in the making. Too bad that Jackson doesn't have that vision.

This is simply a situation where many years ago, Jessie was the voice that many minorities were excited about his views and opinions. Remember, he did run for President once.
Now, times have changed and many people(mostly women) lost respect for him when he publicly advised President Clinton during his affair and at the very same time, Jessis was cheating on his own wife and fathered a bastard child.
In closing, Jessie is envious that so many people black and white love and support Obama. This is something Jessie never could acheive.

This was apparently planned by Jesse to help Obama, knowing that Obama is having trouble with middle America. Just like the Rev wrigth made those last comments and then you never heard another peep out of him, These are all planned in advance by the campaign to give Obama a leg up. Obama lies and is very devious. Obama was groomed by these people for their own ulterior motives. Obama is great at telling people what they want they want to hear, sort of a modern day Pied Piper. His follow thru sucks thouigh.

I think Jackson is jealous of Obama and should stop acting as if Black men are always victims. White America is not responsible for Black men not taking care of their children. Black men need to start acting like men and stop making excuses. People like Jackson need to stop defending them. Obama was right on this one.

Obama failed to mention that Black women and women of all color should stop playing the martyr because they are single parents. This was a choice they chose to make.The result is that society ends up having to support their kids. This is one reason we have so much poverty and crime in America. As a Black American, I also agree with Bill Cosby. If we want a better life we need to stop blaming every one else and start being accountable for our own actions. The only victims I see are the children.

What did Jackson mean: "talking down to blacks"? Is urging black people to become responsible, law-abiding citizens who raise their children to become the same--"talking down"?
