Yeh, yeh, yeh all you so-called liberals

I'm white and I voted for Obama. A lot of people did because they are tired of the Clinton-Bush dynasty. That said, I wish the liberals would get off their self-righteous high horses, injecting race into every issue until we really don't know what the candidates are about, and how they are going to lead us out of the repression we're in. I DO NOT LIKE some of the burn-baby-burn radicals from the past who are showing up on Obama's bandwagon who will point the finger at me, a middle class person who has no choice about anything, just like they did back in the 1960s at our parents, blaming them for causing all the ills committed by the government. But frankly, no one is perfect in politics. We've been walking around with blinders on for years thinking all will get better, but it doesn't. We would all be quite surprised at a lot of the behind-the-sceners, if only the press would make it their business to dig up real dirt, but they're S-O-O enchanted with Monica Lewinsky, the NJ and Washington madams that they don't tell us what's actually going on in government. Britney Spears has another car accident, Angelina having twins, Brad getting a mysterious tattoo, Miley Cyrus posing nude...shall I go on? What, the press worry that the people want intelligent news about things that have dire consequences to us?

Spoken like a true Ron Paul constituent

The Revolution...

Ron Paul is a brilliant man, but despite his brilliance and truth, he is entirely unelectable. His constituency is an awkward mix of social libertarians, and fiscal conservatives, and virtual anarchists who've mostly lost faith in the election process.

It is interesting, perhaps hypocritical even, that your chosen forum name is a Gil Scott Heron song title. Gil, a black intellectual and self-described tax-and-spend liberal would not have anything in common with Dr. Paul except maybe the freedom of black men.

Obama is not even my ideal candidate, but he is the only one of the three that perceives the mysterious and vague war on terror correctly; as boondoggle. If you know the men Dr. Ron Paul and Gil Scott Heron, then there could be no issue in American politics greater than that one.

Reagan '08

The reality is we'd be better off digging old Ronnie Reagan up out of his grave to sit shiva in our dying country's White House than electing Shrillary, NObama, or the Manchurian Candidate (aka McCain). Oy vey! Americans are so freakin' stupid! You're making it too easy for the World Order folks to lead you to slaughter. Rome lives again and it will crumble again.

Read you some Ron Paul, people. Get a clue! 'Cause your children and grandchildren are all going to be picking fruit and veg on some big corporate farm within your lifetime. Hope they have some strong backs! They'll need 'em!

Obama

My question is, "Why does the media and everyone else call Obama 'black'? My understanding is that he is half white, half black. Black is a label that should not even enter the mind of voters.
One of our biggest problems, I believe, is how to get us out of the war in Iraq before the country is bankrupt and all suffer. Can Hillary negotiate with men whose women are second class citizens and still cover their faces? Just a thought.

I left North Carolina over

I left North Carolina over 40 years ago because of people like you and their racist attitudes. I am sorry to see that these attitudes are still alive today in my state of birth. Makes me all the happier that I left and will not return. Maybe in 100 years the racism will disappear, but I doubt it.

Whoa, whoa there gator

Just because he received the black vote doesn't mean it was because of his race. So in Indiana did Hillary win because she got the WHITE vote? What about in New York or Penn.? You cannot insult people by saying that. Maybe people who voted for him think he can fix things Hillary can't, and vice versa. What about women who voted for Hillary because of gender? Please don't disrespect people like that gator. What about the people who once they were in the booth asked themselves if they could really vote for a black man or a woman? What does that show?

I'm sick of people talking that crap about the Obama's not liking the U.S. Where does that come from? I think we over analyze the actions of others to the point we make stuff up. DO you agree with everything our country does? No, you don't. Does that make you unpatriotic?

I agree with you totally... Its a disgrace to the people of NC that he received 92% of the black vote... It shows they are voting on because of his RACE.. He is in no way qualified to be President of this great country...On top of all this he and his wife both have a dislike this country.

Regarding the presidential

Regarding the presidential results; the margin of victory shows that Obama was the choice of most North Carolinian Democrats. I think this is particularly true when you consider that Operation Chaos(1) influenced many registered Republicans to switch their registration to Unaffiliated for the specific purpose of voting for Hillary, whom they regard as an easier opponent to defeat in November.

We should assume that without these shenanigans, Obama's margin of victory among core Democrats would be significantly higher. The important thing is that our result was not contaminated in NC the way it was in Texas.
