Please keep Daddy's home. I think its lol funny. Did you see today's?! Come on! Who else is writing stuff like that in the family strip genre? Nobody, that's who.

Argyle Sweater

Oh please keep Argyle Sweater, it gives me my morning chuckle. Speed Bump is also good, if a little uneven and Daddy's Home occasionally has a good day. I concur about bringing Wizard of Id back to the page.

daddys home

Daddy's Home is pretty bad. Argyle Sweater is pretty funny. Speed Bump is sometimes good, but, inconsistant.

The comic that you ran a while back - Retail, it was a good premise, but, it was poorly executed. I think there could be a lot of really funny strips about retail. But, most of the ones you ran were pretty insipid.

Daddy's Home, Speed Bump, Argyle

Yeah. Speed bump and Argyle are good, but you can't really compare them to Daddy's Home. Apples and Oranges. I say keep em all if you can. The Daddy's Home series from last week where the Dad took his laptop into the bathroom for example... MUCH funnier than any of the Speed Bump and Argyle stuff last week. That was HE-larious!

Speed Bump, Argyle Sweater

These are the best two guest comics we've had in the N&O. Better than quite a few of the regulars. Daddy's Home is good too but not as creative as Speed Bump and Argyle Sweater.

Ho-hum

The current candidates are a pretty dreary bunch, especially Daddy's Home, which has yet to generate even a smile for me. Argyle Sweater is the best of the bunch.

If you're looking for new comics... I second the suggestion of someone who recommended Ink Pen. And if you're going to have something from the Johnny Hart Comic Factory, Wizard of Id is a lot better than B.C.

Daddy's Home is good stuff. It's got a dry wit that some people might not get. But that's the mark of good writing in my opinion.

Daddy's Home totally does not do it for me. However, I have enjoyed both Argyle Sweather and Speed Bump thoroughly.

I have to dissent from this

I have to dissent from this love-fest. There hasn't been a single funny thing in this strip yet, and there are already plenty of domestic-themed comics. Cul de Sac is far better than this in humor (and art, I think, though that's at least more arguable).

My family and I think this is a good cartoon strip. I like the "Dad" perspective. Haven't seen many cartoons where the father is the star. I say give it a try.

I like both, but one is a strip and the other a square... does that mean they are not competing with each other, because of the different shapes?

You asked for it ...

You asked for comments about your guest comic strips; here are mine. I enjoy Cul De Sac and Arctic Circle is a keeper, but Retail leaves me cold. However, any one of them can replace F Minus and improve your selection of comics. It is a most-appropriately-named strip. I strongly agree with a previous commenter -- a blank space would be funnier than F Minus.
