How to Use the Government Rebate

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China .

If we spend it on gasoline, it will all go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will all go to India, and if we purchase HD TV's, stereos, or other electronic crap, the money will all go to Taiwan.

If we purchase a good car, it will all go to Japan or Korea or Germany.

Shoe and clothing purchases will go to China, Indonesia, or Viet Nam.

Even if we buy food, the fruit and vegetables proceeds will all go to Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala, and beef proceeds will go to Argentina --

and of course, none of it will help the American economy!

We need to keep that money here in America! So the only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and liquor, since these are, apparently, the only businesses still
left in the US.

Go USA.

P.S: I guess Elliot Spitzer was just a little ahead of his rebate.

tax rebate

I am not sure I will get one but if I do I would save for the 11percent electric bill starting in June in New Jersey. I would in no way go out and buy junk from China and give them more money. So either credit cards doctor bills food heat gas for car medicines. No extras for fun those days are gone. Bush and Clinton have destroyed our country. We have no choice to pick from all from same pot of greed

Senior rebates

Senior citizens who are subsisting on Social Security will have no other option except to use a rebate to survive on. $70+ million dollars a DAY are being spent on Iraq. The republicans turn their communal backs on the most needy in this country. Wake up folks. Charity begins at home.

Stimulus

I believe Seniors on SSI most definitely should receive the rebate. They are living on practically poverty level.
Some actually have to pay taxes on SSI. Why give rebates to younger healthy people who don't pay taxes.
Also why give it to children.
I have paid more than my share of taxes over the years.
Taxing the middle class to death and then getting penalized for earning a living and saving is so unfair.

Tax rebate

Seniors should definately be included in any stimulus package. The proposals should include Social Security income and well as other income. It is for 2007 income.

I'm debating whether to

I'm debating whether to spend mine to pay forward on childcare or pay off credit card. It will be spent paying off something rather than buying something new. Sorry!

Tax Rebate

I won't be spending my tax rebate. I won't be saving my tax rebate. Thats because I am not getting a tax rebate. In spite of paying close to $100,000 in federal taxes, our politicians in Washington have decided that my family of five doesn't need tax relief. Explain the fairness in refunding up to 50% of some taxpayer's federal tax with this 'rebate' and then rebating 0% to those who are really getting stuck with an excessive federal tax burden.

Tax Rebate

Rebate will go to savings. This is a short-sighted solution, because too few will use it on additional spending to make it worth going into debt. Remember, all the costs of the Iraq War have been, and will be, borrowed. This action brings the day of reckoning even closer for Medicare and Social Security. This is the most fiscally irresponsible administration since Warren Harding.

Spending My Tax Rebate

It really aggravates me to see that, since the tax breaks to the wealthy didn't work, the gov't now sees that there is, indeed, a middle class of working and retired people. it further aggravates me that they don't want us to save but spend, spend, spend.
I'm putting mine in my money market account thank you.
