Will the moratorium on building more residential housing in Chatham County be honored by the Town of Cary? If the Town of Cary is not bound by this moratorium, then I hope that the Cary Town Council will adopt a similar moratorium. If not, the moratorium will only accelerate the push by developers to request that the Town of Cary's annex Chatham County Land, so that they can continue building large residential subdivisions. The push for westward development is so strong, that the Town of Cary is straining its resources to manage all of this growth. I would support a moratorium, along with a study of the rapid growth of this area, and whether the Town of Cary is requiring developers to provide adequate infrastructure support such as parks, schools, roads, public safety, etc. in these areas.
