Truck tire debris in the highway is a major concern on Interstate 95 at night. Sometimes trucks will run over the rubber tire pieces and fling them back. Knowing where these will land is a guess as you slow your speed and brace the steering wheel. Seeing a huge tire rim in the middle of both lanes requires another swerve. And, then there is that large sliver that is lurking along the dark shoulder waiting for you to hit it. Calling the highway patrol is the best bet to getting these pieces removed immediately. But, is there some way to get all this litter off the highway and keep it off?
