I think that we need to all consider ourselves Americans first and stop thinking of ourselves as Democrats or Republicans. We should look at both parties' platforms and positions and decide which we agree with. And, I think this should not be a one-time thought, but continually. I changed from being a Republican to Democrat years ago, because I thought the GOP had become a party catering to prejudices, and irresponsible fiscal policies. If that changes I will reconsider it. In short, I am tired of this red state/blue state debate. The parties are not sports teams! Let's have allegience to the flag and what it stands for, not any political party.
That noted, I would be surprised if NC goes for Obama, but think that it may be extremely close.
