Courtney Rouse of Holly Springs won the girls overall title of the Tarheel Youth Golf Association One-Day Series tournament for players age 8-18 on July 22 at Bentwinds Golf and Country Club in Fuquay-Varina.
Rouse shot a 38-39--77 in winning the girls 15-18 age division and the overall girls title.
Raleigh’s Sarah Bae (40-40--80) was second overall and won the girls 12-14 division.
Catherine Ashworth of Fuquay-Varina won the girls 11-under division.
In the boys event, Fayetteville’s Brandon Jobe (32-35--67) won the boys 16-18 division and the overall title. Holly Springs’ Thomas Bass was second, followed by Jack Garret of Durham in third.
Raleigh’s Matthew Connley (34-38--72) won the 14-15 boys title.
Cary golfers Jonathan Ko (39-40--79) and Will Thomas (38-41--79) tied for first place in the 12-13 division.
The boys 11-and-under title went to Raleigh’s Eric Bay.
