Pfleger's comments on Clinton

First of all, they were pretty funny. Also, they were true. Finally, they were very poorly timed, and it was a terrible place. You don't ridicule someone from the pulpit.

I think it did quite a bit of damage to Obama's efforts to pull in Clinton supporters. Obama's resignation from that church will be too little, too late.

bad bad bad on his part -

bad bad bad on his part - the role of a pastor is not to down anyone - but to convey love thy neighbor as Christ did. His representation of Chirst was surely not displayed on that.

attention-seeking

Attention-seeking behavior, pandering to the basest prejudices of a certain class of people in order to achieve a "me-too" childish kind of attention. Trying to curry favor with people who disdain those of a higher class--trying to be accepted by those who dislike whites because of their skin color.

I have emailed Father

I have emailed Father Pfleger directly concerning what he did. I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church and have never seen a priest behave in such a way as this. Apparently the power has gone to his head. He should be made to take a sabbatical and re-find his religion. loss this power trip he's on and take a strong vow of silence. It's very embarrassing for all of us Catholics and I told him so too!

With 66 Books in the Bible,

With 66 Books in the Bible, surely there were topics about which he was more qualified to speak. And if he was audtioning for "Last Comic Standing" my advice, "Don't quit his day job!"

Father

I think if anyone saw Hillary's speech last night they would know that everything he said is what she believes. I find it horrible that he would get suspended for 2 weeks and they have Priest molesting children and they get defended. We need to stay on our knees and continuing praying.

Christian Leader?

Is this what being a christian leader is all about?! I was embarrassed for him and the rest of those who stood up and cheered. They all made fools of themselves. I am sure their maker was looking down with embarrassment as well. Love thy neighbor?! Hmmmm...interesting. Once again, another reason for separation of church and state. Comments such as those would be best served in a comedy club, not a house of worship, fellowship and unity.

His remarks echo the racism

His remarks echo the racism and leftist viewpoints exposed from that pulpit at that church for many years under Rev Wright. Obama's "former" paster who only retired this week. Both of them expose the kind of rhetoric that Obama has been listening to and raising his daughters around for many years. He has been there 20 years and his daughters all their lives. Is this the kind of "unity" that we want for the United States? I think not.

Amusing

I wonder if you uses that "soul brother" schtick when he's chasing young altar boys around the church?

SAD...SAD...SAD..

A sad day in America and in religion. No man of God would act this way and say these things. No followers of God would act as these members did at his remarks.. A black mark (no pun intended)on our society..
