I applaud Michigan and Florida for what they did, and think the remaining states (including North Carolina) should follow suit. Then the national parties would be forced to choose: Either bar all delegates from every state except Iowa and New Hampshire, or admit that letting these two states have a disproportionate say in the presidential selection process year after year is ridiculous.
The system is already broken, but apparently it won't get fixed until a few more states do like Florida and Michigan and make that fact even more obvious than it already is. So North Carolina should do exactly that.
