Thank you to those who have supported the termination of this 'officer' from his position, including Gov. Easley's office.

A person who demonstrates such lack of control and unchecked anger toward his partner - a K-9 dog whose life is to protect and serve - is a risk to the general public. 

Several studies have shown links to abuse of animals and violent behavior towards people.

This man should not be in a position of power, let alone one that includes carrying a gun.

Aside from the risk of harm to the public, what type of message does this send about the humane treatement of animals?  

Firing was only the first step of appropriate, corrective action.  This officer should now be charged with animal cruelty.
