mallard fillmore is neither truthful or original. The "humor" is sarcasm, which the most simple minded among us employ. Predictable, unoriginal and deceitful, I say drop it, before we all get dirty.
I noted recently that one of your readers is "up-in-arms" about the political leanings of this cartoon strip. If he wishes to compare it with the political diatribe of the
"Doonesbury" strip, he had best try to understand the differnce between philosophical leanings vs.direct pointed political attacks. Personally, I find it both SURPRISING and refreshing that the good old NEWS & OBSERVER would even
allow a contrasting view to be presented by this strip. I
find that the cartoons and crosswords are about the only
segment of your paper that I find worth reading in most instances. Please do not discontinue this strip even if it means relagating to the editorial page with the rest of your
Democratic propaganda.
Criticism of Liberal views as opposed to those of Conservatives are not necessarily political in nature in spite of the paranoic veiwpoint of the political leftists.

I think that during part of the trial period, the stupid cheap shots were withheld so people would not go ballistic complaining about it. Today's strip is so offensive that reading it ruined my enjoyment of the rest of the comics.
It is not clever, it doesn't add anything to one's thoughts on any subject, and above all it is not funny, but VICIOUS!
You insult your readers by publishing stuff like this, especially those who think of themselves as right-wing. Can you imagine anyone wanting their self-label to be assicated with the crap in this strip?

This has to be one of the worst comic strips I've ever seen. It's not even good political satire. It's no better than petty name calling and personality bashing.
and while i'm at it...
check your head may very well be the worst comic I've ever seen with choppy story lines and hard to follow lay outs... this comic stinks!! is it there because you have to have another black comic since boondocks creator decided to sell out?? come on, there's some good stuff out there and these 2 aren't anywhere close to good.
