The answer to that question may predict whether you prefer Hillary Clinton or John Edwards for the Democratic presidential election. She says they were great -- citing budget windfalls and middle-class prosperity. Edwards prefers to talk about bad trade deals and failed health care plans.
What's your view? Do you remember the '90s as a highlight or a lowlight?

Clinton era
To me, the Clinton Presidency set us up for the War on Terrorism in which we are currently engaged. Clinton ignored the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the bombing of our Air Force barracks in Saudi Arabia, the twin embassy bombings in Africa, and the attack on the USS Cole. All of these unanswered attacks against Americans convinced Al Queda that we were an easy mark. Also, unlike the implication in Rob Christensen's article, Clinton had nothing to do with the fall of the Berlin Wall, which occurred well before he became president. Sorry I cannot wax nostalgic about the "success" of the 1990's.
