Uniforms!

I am so thankful that my childrens' school has a uniform guideline. Khaki or blue shorts. White or blue shirt polo shirt. They can be any brand, but not Ralph Lauren, because they cannot have any emblems on their shirts unless they say Franklin Academy.

You can go to Target and buy the polo shirts for $6.99. Or go online and buy from Land's End at a higher price. There is even a uniform store on Wake Forest Rd. that will place the school's logo on the shirts and they are reasonable.

I can't imagine, with the way kids are with wanting to be cool and look a certain way, having to buy for two or three school age children. Kids grow so fast. Mine hardly ever wear the same uniforms year after year, due to growth. At school they also have a uniform sale at the beginning of each year. It's called the gently used sale. I've never purchased from there, but it's a great idea when you consider how the uniforms are so benign in color and style, so no one would ever know if yours was worn before.

Now if only they would set a uniform rule about shoes. That's where we shell out the money!
